the Author:
Angelo
Ventresca, Jr. has a BA degree with a major in Biology from LaSalle University
and an MS degree with a major in Analytical Chemistry from Drexel University.
He is also an Enrolled
Agent (EA). To become an EA, individuals must pass a two-day examination administered
by the IRS. In addition an EA is required to take a minimum of 24 hours of continuing
education in taxation.
Since 1993, Angelo has
been an instructor of continuing education in taxation. In 1978 he founded
Angelo Ventresca Associates (AVA), a tax preparation and consulting firm. The
firm presently has six full time employees in addition to Angelo & his wife &
partner, Marge. During the tax season there are an additional three part-time
employees.
During the years prior
to founding AVA, Angelo was a principal in several businesses in the fields of
landscaping, sewer construction, bookkeeping and beer distributing. In addition
he is published in the chemical literature, taught college chemistry for six years
at LaSalle University, Drexel University & St. Joseph's University. He was also
a manufacturing manager in charge of plating, circuit board & thermistor manufacture
as well as plant safety for over eight years.
